- Hello,
-
- I've been asked to ask all you good folks about the pros and cons of
- C++ with relation to Delphi 2.0.
- We're about to undertake a fairly heafy database project and we seem
- to be down to 3 possibles, Access 7.0, Delphi 2.0 Client/Server and
- C++. What I would like to know it your views on C++ against Dephi (the
- Access 7 route has been checked out and I think it'll be rejected).
-
- For instance, ease of use, features, speed, database accessing.
- I have conflicting opinions from people in the C++ camp and
- vice-versa, now I think the best people to ask are your good selves.
-
- Is C++ easier to develop in?
-
- Has Delphi as many widgets available for Win95 as does C++?
-
- Is Delphi True OO, as is C++?
-
- In real terms, where does Delphi sit, with reference to overall
- program speed? Basing this on C++, Access & VB 4.0.
-
- What about Class Libraries, can we use C++ libraries in Delphi?
-
- Your help will be much appreciated...
